Following an extensive refurbishment of Shadingfield Hall, a Grade Two listed Georgian mansion in the East of England, the new owners asked Helen Oldfield to organise a launch event and to raise the profile of the Hall in the national and regional media.
The PR objective was to attract bookings from high calibre private hire and corporate hospitality clients.
Within two months of the launch, Shadingfield Hall had enjoyed extensive media coverage in several prestigious national titles, along with front cover news headlines and television coverage in the Eastern region.
One of the first guests to book Shadingfield Hall was the former Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, whose summer holiday stay with his young family fuelled the UK “staycations” concept and considerably boosted Suffolk tourism.
What the PM said:
“Sarah, John, Fraser and I have had a fantastic time here in Suffolk.
It has been a great holiday and I want to thank all the people here for their warmth and hospitality.”
